I recently wrote a quick blog for our Military Partners about how they can help YOU, the military family, know about events happening in your community. Perhaps, though, you know about events happening on base and off. This blog post is for you, too. Spread the word about on-post spouse functions, on- or off-base garage sales, bake-sales to raise money for scholarships, things happening around you that you want your community to know about! Submit events that you found out about, you have been to, you know others in your community would enjoy.
Spring will soon be upon us! Sometimes that is hard to remember with still a couple of inches of snow on the ground here in northern-Ohio but my mind can QUICKLY take me to warmer weather; time outdoors; getting to know the community after the lazy days of winter! To many military families Spring can mean getting out and getting to know their community for the FIRST time.
What is big in your community? Farmers Markets? Parades? Concerts in the Park? These are great events that military families WANT to know about!
