Getting ready to march in our Community Parade |

The joy of giving |
Our decorated 'Float' for the parade |
Two of my boys and their own hero, their dad |
The Kocsis-crew marched (or strolled) in a parade, showed the boys the joy of giving over receiving (you can't catch candy in a parade if you are the one throwing it), talked about what Memorial Day is really about with the kids, had a wonderful donated lunch at our local VFW, put more vegetables in the garden, and continued setting up my favorite spot in the house, my deck, for summer enjoyment.
To all the soldiers, airmen, sailors and marines that have given the ultimate sacrifice. Once again I thank you for giving me the freedom to enjoy a weekend with my family, a weekend doing what I love, a respite from a crazy crazy month.

With the help of such parades, we pass on the memory and sense of reverence to all future generations who will be reverent about the history of their country.
