Birthdays are a Fantastic Excuse for a Party No Matter What the Age.
Who does not like to celebrate? Sometimes we need an excuse for acting a bit out of the normal everyday responsible adult role. A party seems the sure ticket here. Enter at your own risk. Kick your heels up and let down some walls. Take off the uniform, put down the computer, leave the book on the table and turn off the stove. A Fall Season Leisure Activity for a Military Family
As we get started back into a fall routine with school and jobs we sometimes look for things to do in the nice fall weather. Finding leisure time activities for the family on the weekend can be quite the adventure for a military family in a new area! It may be a bit cooler and the beach or pool are not as inviting unless you are living in a very southern climate. It’s Hot in the Kitchen… and we want Chocolate!
When I grew up chocolate chips were used for 2 things… and really 2 things only: Chocolate Chip cookies, (made and inhaled in December) or a monster peanut butter fluff sandwich on cheap white bread…sprinkled with the chips: toasted and then years later we moved this concoction to the microwave. Humility certainly has a price tag!
I’m a guest writer on this amazing blog. I am excited to be a part of it! I gave up make up for lent. For some of the natural beauties in the world (or men), this would not be a big deal. It is for me! My long history with make up has been one of necessity beginning in high school. Every day I do (did) my routine of eye liner, shadow, mascara, foundation, and lipstick.
