Our National Anthem
Here are two of my favorite versions of the National Anthem by a major recording artist in case we want to remember how it /should be/ done. I especially enjoy the first one, with Whitney Houston, and the tie to the military in the short video: And really I can’t skip this one (even blogged about it earlier, Patriotism and My Community): Ironically, I missed where and how Christina Aguilera messed up last night’s National Anthem for the Super Bowl. This group starts with the World War II veterans and continues to current service personnel engaged in a global war on terrorism. Among the WW II vets is my dad who will visit us this next week and stay…

A is for April… every Military Child gets an A too!
April is just jammed packed with action. It is after all the month of the Military Child: right there my mind is racing through pictures of friends, their babies, my babies… and my babies’ babies. Whoa… better stop. April comes in like a lion… and out like a lamb. April Fools. April showers bring May flowers. They all relate to those military children: Hear the roar of their excitement, patriotism, experience and networking friends. See the shy sheepish look as they once again enter a new school building. But don’t forget the warmth of their smiles! Catch that glimpse of a sparkle in their eye when they realize the new…
