T-Shirt to Beach Bag
Over the years I have accumulated a few t-shirts. They are an easy souvenir, a great way to remember a great time. However, over the past 20 something years I have accumulated a drawer full of shirts I never wear. I hate the thought of parting with them. I refuse to throw them away. I know if I gave them away they would /never/ be appreciated like I appreciate them ;). So my interest was piqued when I saw this simple-idea on Pinterest, where by turning t shirts into shopping bags (great for the environment!). This is not hard and it a great re-use of shirts I never wear. I was really happy with the results and…

Pinterest and the Military Family
Hours … I have lost hours to Pinterest. But maybe lost isn’t the right word because Yes! I have successfully re-created some of the great ideas I have found. Dinner has become more exciting, I’ve discovered the many uses of vinegar, and it has helped me on my quest to keep “2012 the year of Organization.” I also created some resources that you, the military family, might find useful. There is a sea of information out there and this is a great way to keep it organized. Find what you like, pin it to your own board and you’ll have it when you need it (or have time to read it!) Rustic Christmas Tree
I was browsing Pinterest.com last month looking for an idea to use on Thanksgiving day. Each year, after dinner the Moms and tots let the Christmas spirit enter our thoughts with a homemade project. Simplicity is number one priority, as we are tired, full under the influence of a ton of turkey and boat loads of whipped cream. It is time to laugh at ourselves, try something new, pick through beads, choose twigs (that have been pre-drilled) and create a masterpiece… or at least something tangible.…
