TECHNOLOGY! IT IS SAVING OUR TROOPS LIVES! – DoD Roundtable
Technology is Saving Our Troops Lives! They come with names like Wolfhound and Duke! Sounds like the family pet but these names are lifesavers for our troops and they show how technology can save lives! MilitaryAvenue met with Colonel John “Buck” Surdu, military deputy for the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, Communications-Electronics Center (CERDEC) during the DoD Roundtable as he excitedly described the capabilities of new equipment in the field. Big, Red, Bouncy Ball
*C*, 5 years old learned something today. The power of a saved-dollar. He doesn’t get an allowance yet. (We started his older brother on an allowance at 1st grade). We don’t pay for household chores. My thought is no-one pays me to make dinner, why should I pay them to put away their laundry and get the table set before dinner? Household chores are just part of being a family! So at this point in the game if he has money in his wallet it isn’t from Mom. Stepping up the plate is Grandma. You have to love Grandmas! Especially the ones my boys have. Christmas in May …
My boys, *C* and *E*, got a ‘Butterfly Feeder’ for Christmas from my brother and sister-in-law. I put the feeder away with my ‘Spring home-decor’ in the basement and last month pulled it out and put it in on a shelf to wait for a warmer day. We set it out today. Now the boys are…

The Iraq medical community has a long ways to go before recovering to its previous expertise! At one time this country’s medicine was the envy of the region! Now they are re-building with American assistance! We spoke with Dr. Adel Hanson, linguist/medical advisor, USF-I Health Affairs, Iraq Training and Advisory Mission (ITAM);…
