I know that our household was really blessed by the fact that we did not have fussy eaters. I take no credit in this… it just happened. Breakfast White Rice Buttermilk Waffles
Here is a hearty and tender waffle recipe that is just a bit different. It is also a use for some leftover white rice from the night before! White Rice Buttermilk Waffles3 large eggs, separated2 c. buttermilk6 T. melted shortening2 c .flour1/2 t. salt1 T. baking powder1 T. sugar or Splenda1/2 t. baking soda1 c. cooked whole grain rice Beat egg whites until they form soft peaks, set aside. Beat egg yolks until lemon colored. Add buttermilk and shortening.Combine flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and baking soda. Add this to the egg yolk mixture. Stir until blended.
